Historic Home

The Naturalists

One spring afternoon during the Belle Époque, the paths of an Italian lady and an English gentleman crossed at the Reber bookshop in Palermo.

Maria, a nurse, cared for pellagra patients at Treviso hospital. George, a wine merchant from Manchester, had spent years travelling across Europe.

This historic home tells their love story.
